Q1. What sizes of cash register / POS paper rolls are available?

Common sizes include 58mm (width) x 50mm (diameter) thermal rolls, 80mm x 75mm thermal rolls, as well as 57mm and 44mm plain paper rolls. Different cash register / POS printers use different sizes - please confirm your model before purchasing.

Q2. What is the difference between thermal paper and plain paper?

Thermal paper requires no ribbon or toner - the printer heats the paper to display text instantly, providing fast and clear printing commonly used in receipt printers and POS printers. Plain paper rolls require a ribbon/ink roller and are mostly used in dot-matrix printers. Thermal paper advantages are clearer and more durable output.

Q3. How can I tell which paper roll my cash register or printer uses?

Check the printer manual or the paper width indicated on the machine (e.g. 58mm or 80mm). You can also call us at (852) 2728 7391 and we will help match the correct paper roll.

Q4. Does thermal paper fade? How long can it be stored?

Thermal paper is sensitive to high temperatures, sunlight and chemicals - long-term exposure to heat may cause fading. Store in a cool, dry place - under normal conditions it can be preserved for several years. For long-term archiving, consider photocopying important receipts.

Q5. What label sizes are available? Can labels be custom-made?

We offer various thermal label sizes, such as 40x15mm, 40x30mm, 60x30mm, 60x40mm and 60x55mm. Custom sizes and custom-printed barcode labels are also available.
