Q1. How do I know which time card / ribbon my time recorder needs?

Each time recorder uses a specific size of time card and ribbon. Please check the time recorder model (for example, the MAX ER-1600 uses the T8 time card and the ER-IR103 ribbon). You can also call us directly at (852) 2728 7391 and we will match it for you.

Q2. How often should a time recorder ribbon be replaced?

Depending on the frequency of use, generally the ribbon should be replaced every 3 to 6 months, or when the printed colour starts to become faint. We recommend regular checks to ensure time cards print clearly.

Q3. What types of time cards are available and which models do they fit?

We offer a range of original time cards including the MAX T8 time card (fits ER-1100 / ER-1500 / ER-1600 / ER-2500 / ER-2600 / ER-2700) and the KINGS POWER A7 time card (fits KP-101 / KP-210A / KP-210D / KP-3000N / KP-6000N / KP-9000N).

Q4. Can I replace the ribbon myself?

Yes. Replacing the ribbon is simple - just open the ribbon compartment of the time recorder, remove the old ribbon and insert a new original ribbon. Using original ribbons ensures clear printing and protects the time recorder.

Q5. What is the difference between a cheque writer ink roll and a ribbon?

Ribbons are used in printing machines such as time recorders, where text is printed through the ribbon; ink rolls are used in cheque writers (such as the MAX EC-30A / EC-70), where an inked roller prints out the amount. The two are not interchangeable.
